Meet Dr Richard Campos

A lifelong Missourian, Dr. Richard Campos grew up in Rolla where he earned his bachelor of science degree in Biology from Missouri S&T. He went on to complete a master’s degree in cellular and molecular biology at UMKC before graduating from the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still University in Kirksville and St. Louis.

During his undergraduate years as a pre-dental student in Rolla, Dr. Campos had the privilege of forming close relationships with many of the local dentists. He was particularly inspired by their strong sense of community involvement and dedication to serving others beyond their dental practices. Dr. Campos aims to embody these same values at Southtown Family Dental in the Waldo Brookside area of Kansas City, emphasizing a commitment to patient care and active participation in our neighborhood.

Dr. Campos began his dental career in public health, providing care to rural and urban communities through the National Health Service Corps. After completing his service commitment, he transitioned to private practice but soon felt called to expand his impact. Motivated by a deep commitment to community service, he founded Southtown Family Dental in Kansas City’s Waldo/Brookside area. His practice is dedicated to providing exceptional care to all members of the community, welcoming patients from every walk of life, including those who traditionally experience barriers to care.
